Fear of Facebook

Well, I am thinking of quitting Facebook, because not only are my friends on Facebook friends with people who tortured me in Elementary school (and points beyond), but I am completely addicted to: those time-wasting quizzes (like "what kind of car are you?"), pick your five!, Pathwords, accepting invites to join groups I know nothing about, AND NOW to top it all off, yesterday my computer caught a virus. Yes, from Facebook, my friends. It's hopefully all cleared up, but still.

Veni, Vidi, Vento

I attended a bridal shower at Vento, an Italian restaurant in the meatpacking district a few days ago. Over Bellinis and Mimosas we toasted the bride-to-be, and chowed down on Smoked Salmon Benedict and spinach & ricotta ravioli, among other delicacies. But the best part was seeing this beautiful, narrow, neo-Grecian style old factory building, originally built in 1849. There is nothing like Old New York!

Brangelina Fever

Well, I thought I was all over celebrity worship, but yesterday I was at a meeting not far from where Brad, Angelina and the gang are renting a house (she's making a movie locally), and I was all "didja see 'em? wheredja see 'em?" Apparently they've been spotted at the local Dunkin' Donuts, Bagel Boss, and Stop and Shop.
